Jonny is a freelance internationally touring musician, well-versed in the many areas of the modern music industry.
About Jonny
Originally beginning his musical journey on the drum kit, Jonny became a multi-instrumentalist, with an enthusiasm for the piano, guitar, and bass, which he went on to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
Throughout his university career, and after graduating with a first class BA Honours degree in Popular Music, Jonny garnered experience in several original bands of differing styles, both as a session player and a writer.
Jonny is also a proficient sight reader, and has transcribed and arranged music for clients over the years. He has composed pieces in varying styles, and has a love of writing original music for film.
He has played a multitude of instruments in various shows and projects, and is currently working as Assistant Musical Director on the UK tour of An Officer and a Gentleman.
As well as Jonny’s freelance session work, Jonny also makes up a third of the prog-pop trio, Exploring Birdsong.
Jonny currently lives in Bradford, West Yorkshire, working from his home studio when he is not on the road. He can provide services in remote recording, arranging, composition, and transcription from home, and has joined multiple tours across the UK.
